The Houston Dark Shadows Society was a Dark Shadows fan club. It served primarily Dark Shadows fans in the Greater Houston, Texas area, though its membership grew to include fans around the country. The society published Lone Star Shadows, a quarterly newsletter edited by Riggs, featuring news of Dark Shadows fandom. It ran to 20 issues. Both the club and the magazine were discontinued in 1991.
