The Hogwarts Express is a gen anthology.
Issue 1 is an A5 sized booklet, was published in July 2010 and contains 32 pages. It was released in both print as well as PDF format. The editors hoped to release the zine on a regular basis, but to date only one issue has been published.

- Horoscopes by Sybill Trelawney!
- Ads for Chocolate Frogs & Every Flavour Beans
- A recipe for Hagrid's rock cakes...
- other unknown contents
Submissions sought for future issues
- Fake articles from The Quibbler, Daily Prophet and other wizarding periodicals, covering such topics as Quidditch League news, interviews with famous wizards, opinion pieces on the latest Ministry legislature on werewolves, etc.
- Essays by various wizarding academics or Hogwarts students, along the lines of Mary Borsellino's Fantastic Beasts: A two-parchment essay for Care of Magical Creatures by SB.
- Recipies e.g. "Molly's Home-made Butterbeer", "Draught of Living Death", etc. (It can be tongue-in-cheek, or something we can actually make!)
- Jokes. "A hag, troll and leprechaun walk into a bar..."
- HP-themed puzzles, maybe a crossword puzzle you might see in the Daily Prophet, or a wordsearch, even some kind of HP-inspired math puzzle!
- Rita Skeeter's Gossip Column, classified ads
- We are also keen for non-fiction items like editorials, essays or even reviews.
- Adverts for such things as Ogden's Old Firewhiskey;
- Comics;
- Doodles and illustrations - stand alone, or to complement written works.
