The Hitchhiker's Guide to Camelot is a Merlin trailer vid by Chayiana (2:31 min). It was created for the prompt "Advertisement" for vid_the_grid.
About the idea for this trailer chayiana says: "A few days ago I watched valika56 ' s "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trailer in SGA style" for the umpteenth time (it's just fab!), when I got hit on the idea to do the same with Merlin, and valika56 kindly allowed me to steal borrow her idea."[1]
With a main character named Arthur in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the trailer text is a perfect fit for the Merlin characters, and from the Great Dragon as the "deep voice" to Morgana in a bikini doing absolutely nothing for Uther the vid is hilariously funny.
The trailer ends with the release date September 11, 2010 which was the announced date for the first episode of Merlin series 3.

The vid won the Best in Show Camelot Award in the Special Awards category of The Creative Junkyard Awards Round 7[2], the Driver Picks The Music Vidding Awards Round 41[3] in the category Most Original and the fanvid_contest Round 2[4] in the categories Best Video and Best Editing.
