RavenKat's website, The Graveyard, served a dual function, as a Forever Knight fan site, and as a place for RavenKat to display photographs of headstones and other grave decorations at various cemeteries.

From a fannish perspective, the principal attraction at the time The Graveyard was created was probably an archive of screen captures. Today, the number of pictures seems relatively small, when compared with modern archives. However, in 1999, it would have seemed a comprehensive collection, since the screencaps cover every episode, with up to five pictures each.

In addition, RavenKat had a small collection of photographs of filming locations in Toronto (and supplied others to the map section of Dark Knight Lair). There was also a page of photographs taken at four events attended by Forever Knight fans: Bridging the Knight; Sydicon East; Lights, Camera, Auction!; and Lights, Camera, Auction—Take 2!

Site Design

The Graveyard has a distinctive red logo for the name of the site. Under this, the upper portion of the index page is dominated by a large graphic of the doors to a mausoleum, which is a link to the section of the site containing graveyard photos. Links to the Forever Knight material actually occupy a greater proportion of the page, but are situated lower down.

The index page is designed to appear funereally magnificent, with a purple satin background graphic, which—depending on your tastes—clashes with the bright red logo and links, and the ubiquitous "dripping blood" divider bar. This theme is continued on the Table of Contents for the screen captures. Internally, however, these are displayed on pages that have a white-patterned background.

The screen captures are well organized, and easy to find. Usually, three episodes are displayed per page, with each episode's screencaps presented separately, in a horizontal line topped by the name and production number of the episode. Thumbnails link to larger pix.

The sections with the photos of filming locations and convention pix are equally clearly labelled, but present the thumbnails on a patterned black background.

Site History

The Graveyard was originally located at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Cavern/3842/. It definitely existed by October 1999, when it was first archived; and update notices on the pages suggest that the screencap archive was last revised 20 April 1999. (However, the convention pictures were certainly updated later in that year, since Lights, Camera, Auction! Take 2 took place in October 1999.)

Around October 2002, The Graveyard was moved from GeoCities to Tripod (http://xravenkatx.tripod.com/index.html) to provide "a more reliable version"[1] It remained there at least until October 2007; but, sometime after that was moved to http://www.ravenkat.com/. It was last recorded on the Wayback Machine at that location on 2 February 2011, and had certainly disappeared from the web by 2013. During this time, there were no further alterations to its content.
