The focus was Ron Perlman.

Subscription cost was $13.60 for six issues.

According to an early flyer, it did not accept fan art, only photos and articles.

A related project by Pamela Sondaz was The Ron Perlman Research and Information Library.

Discontinued

In July 1998, the editor published an open letter to fandom in volume 5 Of Love and Hope:

"I have been publishing a newsletter called THE FACES OF PERLMAN for nine

years. My last message to you was that I was going to discontinue the newsletter and start a website. I gave the website a try but because of my increasingly busy personal life, had a hard time finding time to keep it up.

Because of this, I have decided to discontinue both. It is with great regret and sadness that I carry out this decision. The work I have done for Mr. Perlman has been among the happiest times of my life. This does not mean that I have lost interest in the career of Ron Perlman. Quite the opposite is true. My admiration and respect for him grows with every project he gives us.

I would like to thank ALL of you who have supported FACES over the years, especially those of you who were still with me at the very end. I appreciate it so much. I have been so happy to see so many people who have remained loyal to this fine actor.

I can't thank all of you by name. We would be here for days. But I must recognize three people without whose help and encouragement FACES would not have survived as long as it did. These people are: Josefa Jaime (New York), Karen Morgia (Omaha), Gary Dixon (Omaha)."
