Movie Details
The movie has two threads: one set at the close of WWII, where a young nurse tends to a horrifically-burned plane crash victim. The other thread shows his tragically romantic story, how he came to be burned man. The major actors were Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Binoche, Willem Dafoe, Kristin Scott Thomas, Naveen Andrews (later of Lost fame), Colin Firth (cast in many fan favorites), Julian Wadham, and Jürgen Prochnow.
Fannish Interaction
Neither the book nor the movie spawned an enormous amount of fannish interaction, but the hugely romantic theme, beautiful cast, and gorgeous cinematography lead to some beautiful fan videos.
