The Celestial Toyroom is a monthly gen Doctor Who newsletter that contains up-to-date information for each month, analysis, cast and convention information, and a great deal of fan art. Numbering of the monthly issues restarted every year, and was occasionally replaced by the name of the month instead. There was also a North American edition.

In 1977, it merged with TARDIS.

In March 2024, the zine announced it was ending the paper publication sent to all members on April 2025 and would now be offered on a quarterly basis for free digitally. Some issues could still be ordered on demand: "We know that many current members enjoy a physical publication and to this end, printed copies will also be available to pre-order and be purchased separately each quarter....Society events including conventions and other occasional DWAS publications will continue as normal."
