The Buffy/Giles Fanfiction Archive is a large pairing-specific Buffy the Vampire Slayer fanfiction archive for the Buffy/Giles pairing. The original site code was donated by Nemo88.[1]

In April 2021, it was announced that The Buffy/Giles Fanfiction Archive would be moving to the Archive of Our Own as an Open Doors Project.[2] The import was completed in September 2021.[3]

History

Founded in 2007 by Solo84, the Buffy/Giles Fanfiction Archive initially archived fic from the New Buffy/Giles Relationshippers site, but grew substantially larger through later submissions. Later, it was taken over by Gabi, who changed the domain to BuffyGiles.com and made some additions to the site. (BuffyGiles.com is now a separate eFiction archive, still run by Gabi.) The next incarnation, back at BuffyGiles.net, was run by Rainne with co-mods katekat1010, secondalto, and supermom20.[4] On 26 February 2018, an announcement was posted stating that the website would be transferred to the Archive of Our Own.[5] An April 5, 2021 announcement by xdawnfirex on Livejournal[6] indicates that work on the transfer is still ongoing. By February 2019, the site had gone down.

Statistics & Authors

As of 2017, the Buffy/Giles Fanfiction Archive housed 817 works and series.
