The Damar Series is a fantasy series by Robin McKinley, consisting primarily of The Blue Sword (1982) and its prequel The Hero and the Crown (1984), plus four short stories published in collections from 1982 to 2004.
The fandom for the series is small, in large part because of McKinley's vocal opposition to fanfiction, which led FanFiction.net and other archives to ban stories based on her works. As of February 2023, there are 53 fanworks for the Damar Series at Archive of Our Own.
