The Assignment to Help An Orphan is a gen Quantum Leap/Highway to Heaven story written by Christine Wirick.
It was printed in Safehouse #2 in 1993. It was posted to alt.tv.quantum-leap.creative in 1996.
Summary
Doctor Sam Beckett leaps into Mark Gordon from Highway to Heaven to help a small orphanage stay in business --as well as helping out the oldest orphan he knows, Al.
NOTES: This is my second Quantum Leap story, written in 1992. [1]
Parts
Reactions and Reviews
QL crossover with Highway to Heaven. Perhaps somewhat saccharine and rather laden with Divine references for some. Good story, though....although the ending has too many loose ends tied up for comfort. More like Highway than QL. Jonathan can see Sam (figures), they and Al club together to save this orphanage from going down the pan. (No, not Al's; it's not that obvious).[2]
