The Acolyte is the sixth live action television series set in the Star Wars Universe, released on Disney+ in 2024.
Canon
The Acolyte takes place in the High Republic era. Jedi Master Sol investigates the murder of his fellow Jedi, bringing him back in contact with his old padawan Osha Aniseya and her twin sister Mae Aniseya. Mae is involved with The Stranger, later revealed to be Qimir, a former Jedi padawan who's turned to the dark side. The first season ends with Qimir and Osha deciding to be partners together.
The show was canceled in August 2024 due to "low viewership" and for being over budget. [1]
