The Academy is a minor faction within Forever Knight fandom who are fans of Aristotle, a vampire who appeared in the Season Two episode, "Forward Into the Past".
Faction History
As a faction, the Academy is perhaps best described as embryonic. Its founders, Cleo and Presence, presumably announced it with hope. They created a small faction site on 29 August 1999 to advertise their new faction, and included Cleo's e-mail address in the hope of whipping up sufficient interest to form a proper mailing list.
The site had a small guestbook, which hardly anyone signed. Indeed, the Academy seems not to have attracted new members; and after a few months Cleo and Presence never took it further. The faction website was last updated on 3 October 1999.
Faction Icon
In 2012, Greer Watson created an icon for The Academy as part of her project to create a set of icons for all the Forever Knight factions. As the faction has no official symbol, the design composits a screen capture of Aristotle with pictures intended to represent him: a contemporary computer (for his '90s office), a messy-looking stack of folders (for his '50s office), and a rubber stamp "in honour of a stunning view of a table full of similar ones, presumably used to add versimilitude to forged documents".[1]
