"That Was A River" by Beth Cambre is a Starsky & Hutch vid. It is a slash vid and premiered at the Connexions 2000 vid show.

Some watchers felt the clips were especially well-chosen to tell the story that the vidder had in mind and that it was an example of a narrative vid. The vid was also shown at Zedcon 2000 and was shown again at Connexions 2004 by popular demand.

Reactions/Reviews

From Solo’s Zedcon con report in 2000: “But my favourite of the ones I'd never seen before was "That was a River". I wish I could recall all those beautiful passages where the clips matched the words *just* perfectly, and the words were just so right. I've never been keen on Starsky's relationship with Rosie …. and I loved the idea of contrasting it with his relationship with Hutch that way (the river, and the ocean). The fact that I really liked the music helped, too. I will need to get that vid. And all the other ones, of course.” ZedCon 2000 attendee's convention report, offline, no archived version.
