Thanks For The Memories is a collab for Kingdom Hearts Union χ, a mobile game from the Kingdom Hearts game franchise. Organized by DekkiiDan, The final piece was a collection of contributor's rendition of their player character from the game.
History
On May 25, 2021, fan artist DekkiiDan made an open call on Twitter for submissions to a collaborative project to commemorate Kingdom Hearts Union χ[1]. Any fans interested in participating were invited to submit an illustration of their KeyKid, their player character, to be added to a painting of Fountain Square, the game's central hub[2]. The deadline was estimated to be June 23, 2021, but was later extended to June 29th[3].
The final piece was posted on June 30, 2021, on DekkiidDan's Twitter account[4]. An newer version of the piece with more KeyKids was added on July 19, 2021[5].
