Would a Template:NeedsDetails or something like it be useful (alongside a related category) to complement this one and others in Category:Notices? This suggestion has come up recently, but does anyone have opinions on whether it should exist, what its name should be and so on? --PriscillaD (talk) 19:41, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- Definitely. Though I would suggest that template include a clear way for people to state what they'd like to see added, instead of some generic text like NeedsUpdating has. --Alex (talk) 20:47, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- What would be the difference between NeedsDetails and Template:ExpandArticle? We'd need some guidelines.
{{ExpandArticle|because=}}
does let you state what needs to be added.--sparc 21:07, 29 January 2017 (UTC)- For pages that already cover a lot but are missing specific details? Like say, TVD articles don't cover anything beyond season 5 or six? IN practice expandarticle is a template that people put in when the page gets too big to still be a stub, but still need major work. very few people actually provide reason for the expandarticle template. so maybe we should take a closer look at how it's implemeted, if we don't want a brand new template...--Alex (talk) 22:12, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

! template
Template:! is completely baffling and starts off the list very oddly. I have suggested a Usage Note, at the very least, on Template_talk:!. --Msilfan (talk) 06:52, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
