Template:Nihongo/doc

Purpose

This template is for displaying information about Japanese words; Japanese characters and pronunciation.

Usage

The simplified version of this template takes three parameters (inputs):

{{Nihongo|English|Kanji|Romaji}}

There is also a version of this template that takes two extra parameters:

{{Nihongo|English|Kanji|Romaji|extra|extra2}}

Key:

• English: The English word/name (Optional)
• Kanji: The Japanese word/name (Required)
• Romaji: The transliteration the Japanese word/name (Optional)
• extra: Text appears inside parenthesis (brackets) (Optional)
• extra2: Text appears outside parenthesis. Can be expressed as a name parameter, ie. extra2=. (Optional)

Examples

will be shown as: Izuku Midoriya (緑谷出久, Midoriya Izuku^?).

To show the pronunciation on each kanji, use Template:Ruby inside parameter Kanji:
