Usage

This template is for pages about press articles and commentary about fandom. The commentary may be written by someone who happens to be a fan if they are writing for a non-fannish audience.

Articles about other kinds of non-fan commentary on fandom can use Template:Commentary or Template:CommentaryAcademic instead.

Articles about fannish meta essays should use Template:MetaEssay instead.

The template will automatically include the page in Category:News Media.

Key

• commentarytitle - the title of the commentary piece
• commentator - the writer/reporter/opinion person
• dates - date published
• medium - where published (newspaper, magazine, news website, television program, etc.)
• fandom - which fandom is under the microscope
• externallinks - link to the commentary if online
