Tanaka Ryuunosuke is a character in the manga and anime Haikyuu.
Canon
Tanaka is a 2nd-year Wing Spiker at the start of the series. Most of the characters believe he will be the team's Ace after Azumane Asahi graduates. Loud, thuggish, and often getting in trouble, he is nontheless shown to care about his younger teammates despite appearances.
Nishinoya Yuu is the only character who calls him by his first name.
Fandom
Due to his close relationship with Noya, Tanaka often shows up as a character Asanoya fics, either as a person whom Noya confides his feelings to, or as a source of comic relief.
