Could the person who added the cover scans explain why they did so? It seems incredibly unnecessary when they are such plain covers. Vermeil
- Because even when covers are plain, they're history. Because covers can be used for identification purposes. Because information not in the description is sometimes on covers. Because deciding if they are "plain," or not, is a decision that one person shouldn't be making. Because when archiving information, one aims for completeness of said information. Because even a plain cover tells a story. Mrs. Potato Head 12:47, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Interesting point of view; there is however nothing on these covers not in the description (now) and they have very little to contribute. It seems like wasted effort to me, but YMMV. Vermeil
- But how would you know that a zine had a non-graphic cover if there is no picture of it? And describing it in the text is complicated. I mean, saying a cover is "plain" could mean it is a white space with just the written text with no typography to speak of, it could mean the text is typographically designed but without pictures, it could be that the cover has a color, it could mean that there is ornamental design, like some celtic knot but no pictures... IMO it is much easier to just upload an image than to describe how a zine cover is "plain" This zine alone has all of these variants (plain text on white, text on color with a graphic, styled lettering and no graphic).--Ratcreature 17:29, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
I suppose I'm just struggling to get my head around the concept of saying "there's nothing to say". But then, I'm used to pictures being resource-heavy and therefore managing without them, so a picture to show that there's nothing to show is an alien concept to me. I guess if people think it's worth doing ... Vermeil
