could the Tri-D Chess one (which says something about being a fifth edition) be a later version of this manual? I think they are from the same people, who do all these manuals?--RatCreature 13:59, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
- I think so. Even the logo on two of them are the same. The question now is how to combine them all. Mrs. Potato Head 14:13, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
- I think since this is earlier, and also not abbreviated, the info of the later version should move here, and Tri-D Chess become a redirect.--RatCreature 14:16, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia says: The Tri-D chessboard set was made popular by its inclusion in The Star Trek Star Fleet Technical Manual by Franz Joseph, who invented starting positions for the playing pieces and short additional rules. The complete Standard Rules of this game were originally developed in 1976 by Andrew Bartmess (with approval from Joseph), and he has subsequently expanded and fine-tuned them. That could mean that the first version of this manual is from 1976. --Doro 23:11, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
