Talk:Timeline of Fanart
To be honest, I don't see the point of including icon communities and such in this timeline. I know the fanfic writing community has the tendency to call any picture a fanart from icons to moodboards but the fanart community, which this article is about, only calls one thing fanart: drawings. I've been part of both the fanartist and the icon/graphic-making community for more than a decade and mixing the two serves neither, same as mixing fanfic and filk just because they're both shared as text would serve neither. -- Baycitybomber (talk) 05:52, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
- I actually agree. I think I got a bit carried away when editing and didn’t think it through. Will be happy to remove those edits. Themayqueen (talk)
