The sequence zines
The Rack & All the King's Horses, All the King's Men is the collected sequel, issued in 1981. I'm not sure how to incorporate these two, the story and the collected sequel. It is complicated by the fact there's a Sentinel zine called All the King's Horse, All the King's Men. Anyone? Mrs. Potato Head 16:04, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- I'd put it all here, with the publishing info of the sequel and the collection, then redirect the collection title and put a disambiguation line on the TS zine All the King's Horses, All the King's Men, like you may be looking for The Rack sequel All the King's...--RatCreature 17:06, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- Even though this entry is for a single story and the sequel is a zine? How about making an entry for the zine and putting the info about the story on it? Mrs. Potato Head 18:01, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- But I think the story is well remembered for its controversies, so it ought to have an entry. Whereas there seems less talk about the zine. It is linked from five other articles.--RatCreature 18:45, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- Okay. Say, I added some info from the author. I've not added anything from livejournal before and am #1 worried about privacy (was this quote okay?) #2 know the quote if formulated badly and #3 my reference is clumsy. Mrs. Potato Head 18:54, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well, if the entry was public not flocked it's okay to quote, but something is messed up here. I think you stuck the Kipax quote in the middle of the other quote by klangley or something. And that quote was awkwardly formatted to begin with. Now the " is in the wrong place, b/c the actual text has the name of the story and now it says "The story created..." so that's why the weird blockquote in the middle of the sentence. I thik it ought to be in brackets like "[The story] created..." yes? in the standard quote formatting if you rephrase (I'm always a bit unsure about that kind of thing.) I'll try to clean this up and format and attribute things correctly and put that in the references.--RatCreature 21:31, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- Not flocked. It came up with a general google search. Sorry about the crappy formatting. This quote/reference thing is something I need to learn. Thank you for fixing it, Rat Creature. Mrs. Potato Head 21:35, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
- Longer quotes are often awkward. The quotation template is sometimes not ideal with white space, and this manual indentation is a pain too. And even your no-special formatting was better than the blockquote in the middle of the sentence that was already there. The most puzzling was really that you accidentally c&p'ed it in the middle of the other one, which probably was because it wasn't offset that clearly and the latter part would have segued into the sequel zines, but it was not article text.--RatCreature 21:52, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
It's gen?
This story, and its sequel, is gen, right? --Mrs. Potato Head 12:34, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
