I don't understand how it can be a novel and a clubzine with articles and fiction mixed at the same time. Does it contain a novel? Is this a mistake and it ought to say anthology?--Ratcreature 21:05, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I went with this off of The Beyond Dreams Press Database [1], "The Alternate Factor ? 66 TJ Publications Novel; UK" which called it a novel, but I then went on to find out more, found the clubzine and article mention, added it, and forgot to switch the template. - Are you sure these two are the same zine? Because nothing in the trek zinedex entry for the 1980 clubzine indicates that it was slash. Also the title there is "The Alternative Factor" not "The Alternate Factor".--Ratcreature 21:37, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
- No. Problem is, both entries are missing exactly the same info the other one seems to have. One has an editor, contents and year. And the other has a page count and publisher and states that it is a novel. The only real clue that they are two things is one is from the UK and the other from New Zealand. In the end, I have no idea. Mrs. Potato Head 22:16, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
- But the two info sources don't mesh. I think the slight difference in title, combined with one seeming gen the other slash, one a novel and the other an anthology clubzine, and the different publishing location points to two zines. So I'd say splitting the info rather than assuming to merge the two sources would be prudent for now. If more info resolves this into one zine after all we can always edit.--Ratcreature 22:27, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
