I'd welcome input as to whether this should use the academic commenter template instead. I'm only familiar with her fanfiction. Not to mention whether to invert the name or not with defaultsort -- any pointers? Espresso Addict 12:27, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- We don't default sort fan names anymore as it was too complicated in determining intent. We still default sort with other proper names. Straddling several "worlds" as she does (and she's far from the only one who does) makes it complicated if only for the template question. Kind of a long reply to essentially say, "I don't know." --Mrs. Potato Head 14:06, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- Indeed, I don't know was my considered opinion, too! At least I'm not missing some obvious guideline on the question. Most of the people I'm aware of who straddle fandom/academia use a pseud in fandom, so it would be appropriate to sort their contributions into two different articles. As the article currently focuses on her fanwriting, I suppose the thing to do is leave it with the fan template, and if anyone wants to expand her academic contributions in future they can switch the template if they feel it appropriate.
