Talk:Pinch Hit

I added this description -- I had to research at Wikipedia, because the term is only self-explanatory in countries where baseball is huge :). Give me a football analogy (Ersatzspieler!) any day, but baseball mystifies me. Is this an accurate description? -- "The term derives from baseball. A pinch hitter is a player who replaces another player during the game, comparable to the substitute players in football/soccer." --Lian 16:03, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Move page to Pinch Hit?

I assume that this page was made at pinch-hitting because the baseball term is pinch hitter/pinch hitting, but in exchange fandom it's frequently used as a noun, Pinch Hit (or "PH"), to refer to the request that needs filling, and I think that since that's a special fannish use and comes up so much more frequently, it should be highlighted by the page name. - Nonnie (talk) 17:49, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
