I'm not sure what the distinction between "photographs" and "gifs" in the second paragraph is -- should that be "animated gifs," or what's the difference?--Penknife 16:36, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

I googled picspam + gifs to see what the usage was, and in all the posts I've found "gif" seems to refer to short animated sequences, sort of like a low-quality video posted in gif-format.--Ratcreature 16:46, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
