Multiverse 3 "I'm not bitter"

Katharine Shade models the "I'm not bitter" t-shirt, signed by Claudia Christian

Regarding Claudia Christian's "I'm not bitter" statement, out of context it may be taken as sour grapes. As someone who was there at the time, I can say it was not. She initially said it a) to explain how she felt about departing the show and b) it also appeared to be something she had said previously, possibly at another event. The fans at her Multiverse talk latched onto the statement, a reaction she easiliy identified, and she repeated it several times for laughs during her talk until the audience began to echo it and punctuate some of her statements with it. Everyone was laughing, including Christian. It was this fun atmosphere that motivated me, with the assistance of my partner Sarah, to create the t-shirts. I remember the rush of chasing down somewhere to buy white t-shirts early on a Sunday morning; I found them at Victoria Market, fortunately I lived nearby at the time. I gave them out to some people at the convention, including one to Christian. Aussiejed (talk) 23:48, 18 May 2024 (UTC)

Thank you, Aussiejed, for the context and for adding it to the page for the third con. It is much appreciated. --MPH 14:28, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
