My ineptness with technology has left me unable to access "00" and "08" of Lover's Leap, the story here: https://web.archive.org/web/20011219195612/http://ql-archive.org/atqc/ Can anyone assist? --MPH 19:51, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

Done! Sometimes a specific copy of a page on the Wayback Machine is broken. If it says there are multiple "captures," then there's multiple copies from different dates, one of which might work. That was the case here. Night Rain (talk) 20:41, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
Thank you! I know about the multiple copy thing, but those two links kept downloading things I couldn't open. There are some "downloads" (which I noted) on some of the early QL story parts I added to Fanlore in the last two days. I hope they aren't dangerous... --MPH 21:27, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
The capture you linked also downloaded as a file for me before it magically started loading in browser. It's just a text file of the newsgroup post/e-mail in .p00 format. Google tells me this format was used by Commodore 64 computers. Given the vintage of the posts this makes sense. Probably won't effect your computer/tablet (beyond giving it a blast from the past!). My mistake. "p00" appears to be an abbreviation of "page 00" rather than a file format suffix. Other files have "p01," "p02," etc. They do appear to just be text files though. Night Rain (talk) 23:06, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
Good to know, Night Rain. A little historical taste for us all. :-) --MPH 15:31, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
