In Defense of Fanfiction (discussion) exists, I just had no idea. We're covering the same ground here, I think these pages should be merged somehow... MPH glad we were of the same mind, but I'm a bit stuck on what to do now.
Should this be renamed to "Timeline in Defense of Fanfiction"? The reason I didn't go for that in the first place is I thought it would be a good opportunity to summarise some of the opinions, in an arrangement similar to The Impact of Blogging on Fandom, because i love the way it uses quotes to substantiate the overall arguments with comments across time, but I also wanted to have an overall list. I think there's also substantial overlap with Fanfiction#Why Fans Read and Write Fanfic Distracteddaydreamer (talk) 18:21, 10 February 2024 (UTC)

I think that In Defense of Fanfiction (discussion) can remain and be a page that concentrates on commentary. We can perhaps pull much of the Fanfiction#Why Fans Read and Write Fanfic comments (shortening that section, and then adding a link to In Defense of Fanfiction (discussion) page.)

Then we can make a Timeline in Defense of Fanfiction page, and add the links organized by date there. A link to the timeline page can be added to both Fanfiction#Why Fans Read and Write Fanfic and In Defense of Fanfiction (discussion).
