I changed the links to the character pages to lead to (as yet nonexistent) subpages of the main SGA page - this is the way Fanlore chose to have character pages. :)

I've seen Spanky for Ronon/Teyla, in particular among some John/Elizabeth shippers, in that vein Radek/Rodney is called Snappy apparently, though I think that gained even less traction. Pairing names in practice?

I'm not sure where this should be mentioned, but some of the pairing names listed here are more orderly than those more commonly used in the fandom...for instance, some pairings are First Name/Last Name. See Ronon/Keller (1,950 Google results) vs Ronon/Jennifer (979 results) or Dex/Keller (210 results). The First Name/First Name & Last Name/Last Name system may be more logical, but it's not always the fandom norm. --Xparrot 08:07, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

You won't get good numbers for all pairing combos by counting google hits. I ran into that problem when I did the same for numbers on the misogyny talk page. For example if you were to google "John/Emmagan" you get mostly hits for "Torren John Emmagan" because google doesn't treat the slash as character. Similarly if you google "Sheppard/Weir" you also get hits that give lists, like "Sheppard, Weir and McKay" and don't actually have a slash in it at all because even in quotes google will match "Sheppard/Weir" to "Sheppard, Weir" for some reason. So it is pointless to determine name prevalence through google hits, because they will distorted for name combinations that also occur with other letters than pairing slashes in them.--Ratcreature 14:05, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
