Talk:Jim/Blair
Not my fandom, but can someone discuss the fact that Jim and Blair were so frequently soul-bonded? (In gen, too, which really needs a page of its own.)--Betty 06:18, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, that is probably because they have spirit guides in canon that jumped into each other when Jim's vision brought Blair back to life, which is mentioned in the canon parts. I mean, iirc the show doesn't call it "soul-bond" but it is not exactly far out fanon to translate it like that imo, whether you give the relationship a gen or slash slant.--Ratcreature 08:05, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- This totally needs a picture. I've uploaded one: can someone help me embed it? (http://fanlore.org/wiki/Image:Wolfpanther.jpg) --Speranza 17:25, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- I added it to the main sentinel page, as that's currently where soulbonding is referenced. --rache 18:03, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Canon Counterevidence section
The Canon Counterevidence section seems odd to me. -- Kdcat 07:36, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. This is a pairing page, so it seemed like an odd place for it, unless there was a controversy or fanon-or-canon section that relied on it. So I dropped it, and I added the more fandom tag, as there's not really any fandom on the page. --rache 15:05, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
the whole mating instinct thing...
I don't really remember whether there was a lot of fanfic giving Jim biological mating instincts before the canon instances, or whether that was just transferred to also apply to Blair. IIRC, it was canon that he reacts more to pheromones, and once the Alex thing happened also that he has a urge to mate with other sentinels, but I don't know whether the fanfic popularity of similar tropes in TS started before the show did the het version.--Ratcreature 19:23, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
name change
Should this page be Jim Ellison/Blair Sandburg? --Mrs. Potato Head 14:13, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
