newsletter links to something that doesn't address this old paper kind. I don't know enough (like zippo) about newsletters, but I'm hoping someone can add to that page to reflect this format and history. Mrs. Potato Head 15:59, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

I've corrected the original art credits for Issue 3. Does anyone know who "N. Criss" is? Fanlore's Concordance page (under "Table of Contents") mentions a Nancy Criss as being among the artists for the original "fanzine" edition, so I thought I'd see if Nancy's style and/or signature looked similar to the delightful IST#3 McCoy cover -- but I looked through the entire thing, page by page, and didn't find any artwork credited to a Nancy Criss. --Carol Pruitt (talk) 02:46, 8 July 2023 (UTC)

I'm looking at the Star Trek Concordance now. Nancy Criss is listed in the general credits and then specifically for an illo of Spock on page six. But page six is an illo by George Barr portraying Gene Roddenberry, which is supposed to be on page two (which, in turn, is an unsigned illo of Spock). I think what happened is the two illos were switched when the zine was printed. That means that Nancy Criss is indeed the artist of the Spock illo; I think the styles pretty close. I'll make sure the illo is on the Concordance page so you can see, too. MPH (talk) MPH 14:37, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
You and I may have different editions. The cover of mine has the title box about half the size of what's shown on the FL page, and my page numbering begins at 3. So either my pages 1 and 2 are the cover and its blank back, or else my pages 1-2 are missing. I do have the Barr Roddenberry on page 6. What's on your pages 1, 3, 4, and 5? Thanks for the double-Spock drawing -- I don't see it anywhere in my copy. I agree that it was most likely swapped with the Barr Roddenberry in your edition. As for whether N. Criss is the same person as Nancy Criss, it's unfortunate there's no signature on the Spock! It's a sufficiently different type of illo from IST #3's McCoy (realistic vs caricature) that all I can say is it's plausible. --Carol Pruitt (talk) 03:36, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
