Thanks for creating this page, Caessius! I noticed that some of the content here is directly copied from Six of Crows Duology, and I'm wondering if that information might be better maintained on the series-specific page, and vice versa. I like the idea of there being a "landing page" for general information about this universe, but in general, I don't think we want to just duplicate information across various pages - since ideally, we'll either have readers click through to the other page, or we'll have users looking for specific information about the specific series. It's also my understanding that Six of Crows fandom is in some ways distinct from fandom of the Grisha Trilogy, which adds another layer to this - would be great to hear from other editors who are familiar with the fandom(s). - Fandomgeographies (talk) 20:15, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

I'll chime in here! SoC is definitely a part of the grishaverse, but a lot of the characters and initial themes in the original trilogy are not touched on in the SoC stuff. The stuff about Kevin Wada and bardugo's action on tumblr also didn't peak/become a thing until SoC came out - the trilogy just didn't have the fandom response the duology did. I see Grishaverse as more of a term within a fandom, than a fandom in and of itself, especially since the original trilogy didn't "establish" the fandom, despite being the first of her books in the universe, the duology did. --Linfin (talk) 20:57, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

This is a pretty interesting topic, actually. The way I see it, the Grishaverse fandom didn't exist until SOC came out, because Bardugo (far as I know) didn't initially reveal that she was creating a shared universe. However, SOC's popularity definitely had a significant effect on Young Adult fandom, where Leigh Bardugo had been generally popular - Bardugo fandom and Grishverse fandom are kind of synonymous, since all her stuff is in the Grishaverse and that aesthetic is part of her appeal as an author. At this point, there's definitely a significant Grishaverse fandom that's built around loyalty to Bardugo. Her next series, The Nikolai Duology, has been highly anticipated, and a lot of fan activity has involved rereading all of the Grishaverse in preparation, since Nikolai appears in both series. This page is sort of anticipating a lot of growth. – caes (talk) 22:05, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
