University of Iowa today (9 Nov 09) confirms that their holding is in no sense a zine, merely two photocopied stories which they received together:

"Thank you for your notice about your fanzine in the Hereld Collection, MsC 877. I appreciate the new information concerning the origin of these stories.

What we have here are photocopies of the stories, attached separately (as opposed to being collated together into a published fanzine format). I kept them together because they arrived in the collection foldered together and were by the same author. However, I have now separated them into separate folders and will make the appropriate notes concerning the stories' origins in the finding aid. I hope that this will clear up the problem. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Take care,

Jeremy Brett, C.A. Project Archivist Special Collections and University Archives University of Iowa Libraries 100 Main Library Iowa City, IA 52242 (319) 384-2096"'

Hopefully this will lay to rest the notion that there was ever a pirated or unauthorised zine containing 'Gods of the Copybook Headings' and 'Cities and Thrones and Powers'. User: Vermeil
