Grey Canon

I've never heard this term before - what parts of fandom use it? I tried Googling it using a few different qualifying words, but only came up with three hits that used it in the sense that's given here, of things like DVD extras. (Not saying there aren't more, just that qualifying it with "fandom", then "fanfic", then "fan" didn't produce results, so I'm curious.) (Not qualifying it at all brings up a whole lot of photography hits that seemed too much to wade through.) --Arduinna 07:08, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Canon Wars -- HP/Glee/???

This page really needs some discussion of canon in progress, and on the flamewars that happen when fans decide to debate the ultimate ends of the creator. It'd be awesome to have something on the Harry/Hermione vs. Hermione/Ron wars of the Eternal Summer, if anybody has resources on that. I've noticed a definite trend in Glee fandom to be just as, ah, enthusiastic about determining the means and ends of creatorship.

Me? I'm post-modern enough not to really care (my biggest fandom so does not care about what TPTB do, as long as it doesn't suck), so that deserves a mention too. --Awils1 10:32, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
