Taking Back Sunday is an American rock band from Long Island that formed in 1999. The band was in the Warped Tour lineup for 2003 and 2004. It was a peripheral band in the context of Fueled By Ramen/MCR bandslash, but fans on LiveJournal were writing fanfic for it as early as 2003. It is closely associated with two other bands from Long Island (Straylight Run and Brand New) due to swapping members, so fic about one band often features the other bands.
The current members are Adam Lazzara, John Nolan, Eddie Reyes, Shaun Cooper, and Mark O'Connell.
