Reviews
In Sun Spots, you should like the informality throughout, even though none of the material stands out. Most interesting are the editorials, and a unique article by George Wetzel on doodles. Mebbe not fantastic, the latter, but interesting.Harry Warner, Jr.: Harry Warner's Views. Fantasy Fiction Field #6 pg 2. Nov 1940.
Most consistently sloppy fanmags: SUNSPOTS and NEW FANDOM.
Joe Gilbert in Fanfare #5 pg. 13 (Dec. 1940)
SUN SPOTS has dissolved, and believe it or not, I'm sorry.Joe Gilbert: "Slan!-der". Fanfare #7 pg. 14, Aug. 1941.
Sun Spots would later return, and outlast both Fanfare and Fantasite.
Half of the latest issue of Sun Spots is devoted to the letter section, which improves the quality of the entire issue.Harry Warner, Jr.: Harry Warner's Views. Fantasy Fiction Field #17 pg 4. Feb 1941.
