New Fandom was the official zine belonging to the New Fandom science fiction club, based in New York. While only nine issues were published, it achieved some prominence thanks to its editors' involvement in the most prominent feud of early science fiction fandom. (See The Great Exclusion Act.) Issue 6 gave a report on Worldcon 1939, which Moskowitz and Taurasi had chaired along with Will Sykora.
According to the final issue, it was bundled together with Cosmic Tales as the club's finances dwindled.[1]
Reviews
Robert Lowndes, a primary player in the feud with Moskowitz and Taurasi, wrote a column in early 1940 that refused to deliver a lengthy review due to his own involvement.
"New Fandom" is a journal which should be the very tops, if one is to believe what the editors say about it, but isn't. Inasmuch as we are not clear of prejudice on this publication we will say no more except to admit ungrudgingly that at least one issue during 1939 was very good in content.Lowndes in Scientifan issue 2 pp 6-7 (January 1940)
