I enjoyed this short, tightly written story. The author showed in a few pages just how inevitable the love between K & S is. Even when Spock tries to erase all memories of their time together it's all just waiting there to wash over them at the first opportunity. The sexual parts (almost all of the story) are very powerful and showed the almost frightening intensity of their passion and obsession with one another. Kirk really learned what happens when you make a Vulcan jealous. [1]
I don't usually enjoy stories based on the premise that Kirk and Spock knew each other before meeting on the Enterprise, but this one was an enjoyable and very erotic read. The sophistication of the sex game was, I thought, a bit much for a 16 year old. [2]
