Stony Trumps Hate was a Tumblr-based auction organized by Stony fans in 2017 to support organizations working to help protect and secure the rights and livelihoods of those most vulnerable and affected by the 2016 US presidential election.[1] The auction was inspired by Fandom Trumps Hate, and the organizers of FTH shared resources with Stony Trumps Hate.[2]
In 2017, creator sign-ups were open from April 30 to May 13, and bidding was open from May 21 to May 27. Donation receipts were due by June 7.[3]
The following types of fanworks and fan labor were eligible for the auction:
- Fiction & Prose
- Illustration & Comics
- Graphics, Gifsets, Edits, etc.
- Videos
- Podfics
- Crafts & Fanmade Merchandise
- Other fanwork-related services, including Beta-ing, Consulting, etc.[4]
