From the zine:

Members, we feel very bad on how the first zine turned out. But we plan to make it up to all of you! Some of you have made suggestions on how to better the zine (i e. zine appearance, artwork, ect.)' All suggestions are under consideration. And they are all good.

Most of you know that STAR TREK Chicago was cancelled.

But we are very happy on how this zine turned out! As you can see, it is much bigger! So is our membership list! All committee members have found out that there is a vote card on their edition of this zine.

We feel some things must be changed, and they must vote on them. If the majority says yes on the subjects, the idea will be presented,to you. Then we would like your opinion. But, there are only 4 committee members, and 2 of them are honor members. Please think of becoming a committee member.

Peter Johanssen, of Pottsville; has become a branch president for M.O.S.T./ PA.. You will soon see his name in the S.T.W. Directory.... We are not at all doubtfull [sic] that Peter won't do a good job. We would also like to say that we need more membership participation. Only 2 members have submitted work, the rest have come from honor members, or outsiders. Don't think we are mad at you, because we are not. We would Just like to see more participation from all of you.

Their [sic] is space for 5 long-term articles.

Most of the guys in barracks kid me, insult STAR TREK and all that, but it is mostly, in good fun. But I can't get them to "see the light."
