Con Reports

When in Orlando, Florida, one usually thinks of NASA or Disneyworld as the main attractions, but, on May 14 - 16 the people got together for their first STAR TREK CON in Orlando. The special guest of the weekend was Walter Koenig (Chekov) to represent ST and Joe Green, comic artist. The con was run by Mr. John Ellis who was in charge of films up in Boston over Easter weekend. In spite of the weather (It rained most of the weekend!) the fans were there to greet their favorite Ensign of the U.S.S. Enterprise.

Walter had several panels and the most asked question was as usual, "When will the ST movie be out?" Walter answered in the most diplomatic way he knew; "When there is a script!!" Other activities included an all night film festival including several Star Trek episodes. A dealers room run by Tony Anello and several other activities.

Even though we never made it to Disneyworld this time we had a great time. I know I did. Thank you STFF for another great convention! from Sharon Kraus in [1]
