Star Trek One: Beyond Discovery was a Yahoo group that had moderated posting, with 2,648 members at the end of 2019. The group's peak period was in 2000-2002 and 2006-2010. However while posting diminished gradually, when it was active it had as many as 2600 messages a month. Discussion focused on episode events, tie-in novels and audio books, celebrity news, and availability of Star Trek content. Merchandise posts could only be done direct to participants and not promoting external sales sites. The final publi posts were comments on the deaths of D.C. Fontana and René Auberjonois.

The group links to the Venus Project website and notes that: "STAR TREK ONE supports the aims of THE VENUS PROJECT NB: Individual members may hold contrary positions."
