Reactions and Reviews
1995
Robin takes an interesting approach by having two aliens crewmembers from very different worlds look at Kirk and Spock, and showing their perceptions of the growing relationship between their two commanders. Using only a few words, this author draws an excellent word picture of the two aliens, Srelo and Hrtra and their home planets. Her use of the legend of souls split apart is quite effective. [1]
Two very imaginatively created aliens meet in the arboretum on board the Enterprise and talk about the love between Kirk and Spock. One recounts a tale from her planet's past that parallels Kirk and Spock. This is a lovely and delicate story told in a unique way through others' eyes. I liked that they were female, also.
Very nicely done with just a touch of poignancy about the difficulties of love. [2]
