Splasher is a background Newsies character. Most canon information comes from the 2023 West End cast.
Canon
Jacob Fisher, who played Albert DaSilva in the West End production, described Splasher as "the universal little brother of all the Newsies."[1] Ross Dorrington provided part of a backstory in an Instagram story, explaining that Splasher came from a middle-class family, had two parents and a brother, and that his family lost his house in a fire resulting from a thunderstorm.[2]
Fandom
The name Archie is occasionally used as Splasher's "real name."[3]
Newsies Wiki
In 2018, a Newsies fan also going by Splasher created an extensive backstory on the Newsies Wiki. This included the real name William Steele and Crutchie as Splasher's caretaker.[4]
