Spirited was an Australian drama television series on channel W starring Claudia Karvan and Matt King.
Canon
The series is about a dentist Suzy Darling, who walks away from a loveless marriage and into an old apartment block that is inhabited by the ghost of a 1980s English rock star, Henry Mallet. Suzy had been married to Steve Darling and they have two children, Elvis and Verity. Suzy’s sister Jonquil often appears in the series. Only Suzy can see Henry, although animals such as her cat could sense his presence.
Fandom
Fandom for the series is fairly small, but dedicated. It launched a fan campaign, with the slogan "SOS: Save Our Spirited, after the network did not renew the show for a third season in October 2011. Although it was announced in December that a possible development deal had been reached with another Australian cable channel, Showcase, for a third series - Claudia Karvan was cast in a Puberty Blues reboot and since then there have been no news of a third season.
Fandom's main pairing was Suzy/Henry.
Spirited's fandom is mainly located on Tumblr and LiveJournal, with only a few works posted to FanFiction.net and Archive of Our Own[1].
