Reactions and Reviews

1999

The time and place was nicely set as a part of Kirk's conversation with his aide. We learn through dialogue it is just after the court-martial in STIV. It seems Kirk received a message between Spock's death and Genesis. A message which he inadvertently locked away unread until now. Other than to prompt discussion between Kirk and Spock, the uncannily accurate "warning" was abruptly abandoned leaving us to realize it was simply a contrivance. But, what the heck, we've all used those— and the resulting heart to heart discussion was pretty much on target, complete with the teasing which comes only when they're at ease with each other. [1]
