Spencer/Ashley is the femslash pairing of Spencer Carlin and Ashley Davies of the television show South of Nowhere. Its portmanteau name is Spashley.

Fandom
Spencer/Ashley is the juggernaut pairing of the South of Nowhere fandom. The portmanteau name, Spashley, was first coined by fans and was later made canon in the series finale. In one of the final moments, Ashley gave Spencer a key chain: containing a tube of sand from the beach where Spencer first came out to her, with the word Spashley printed on its side.
When the series was cancelled after season 3 there was some effort on fans part to save the show under the "Save Spashley" campaign.[1]
Although fans were disheartened when South of Nowhere was canceled, their passion helped to spur “Five Years Later” webisodes, which saw Spencer and Ashely not only still a couple, but married and expecting a baby. In today’s TV landscape, where gay and bi female characters characters are often sacrificed (sometimes literally) to create more storylines for their straight counterparts, it gave the characters—and viewers—a real fairytale ending.[2]
2017 saw a small resurgent in the fandom as Gabrielle Christian (Spencer) and Mandy Musgrave (Ashley) were guests at ClexaCon, hosting a "Spashley reunion".
