The Sonic Amateur Games Expo (commonly abbreviated as SAGE) is an annual online convention and exhibition dedicated to the showcase of fangames, game mods, ROM hacks, and indie games. The exhibition's primary focus is on Sonic the Hedgehog fanworks, but has expanded to include fan games and mods based off of other works and original indie games. Sonic Amateur Games Expo has also featured other events such as contests, radio streaming, and fan interviews with notable Sonic the Hedgehog voice actors, writers, and fans. Some fangames and original indie games featured at the exhibition have seen notable success and praise, such as Sonic: Before the Sequel, Sonic Robo Blast 2, Freedom Planet and Pizza Tower.

Sonic Amateur Games Expo was originally established in September 2000 by Ryan Bloom (BlazeHedgehog) to expand the appeal of fangaming, who modeled the show after E3 and other notable video game trade shows of the time. It was hosted bianually until 2005 before shifting to an annual format.
