This little tongue-in-cheek tale of a certain starship captain and his first officer in a predicament had me in stitches. Kirk and Spock are in a hot-air balloon, put there by the very superstitious natives of a low-tech planet. They're without their clothes or a means of steering and landing the vehicle. Guess what happens? You probably can, but it's how it happens that's so funny. What a delight to find a really hilarious (if a bit silly) K/S story! And a well-written one to boot. [1]
